HEMAXIS DX, THE WORLD’S FIRST MICROFLUIDIC DEVICE TO PROVIDE PASSIVE PLASMA/SERUM SEPARATION AT THE FINGERTIP
HemaXis DX, our second generation micro blood collection device, produces pure plasma or serum without the use of a centrifuge, filtration membrane or pump. DBS System’s patented microfluidic technology passively and efficiently separates plasma or serum from whole blood with no hemolysis and the extracted biofluid can be stored in a dry or liquid format. This new technology promises to vastly expand the testing potential of micro blood samples.
HemaXis DX for plasma will be available for research evaluation in Summer 2018. Preliminary tests of the prototype carried out together with our research partners have confirmed the potential in circulating bio-markers detection, especially within proteomic, metabolomic or clinical chemistry analyses.
